A doctor is always contactable between 08:00 and 18:30 on the phone. If you ring outside these times, you will hear a tape recorded message which will tell you how to contact a doctor. This is for emergencies only.
Please note our extended hours between 07:00 – 08:00 on Tuesdays and Wednesday s are for pre-booked appointments only.
When We Are Closed
Call the surgery number to hear a taped message which will tell you how to contact a doctor.
In the case of urgent need when the practice is closed you can call NHS 111 (111), who will then direct you to the relevant service - Ambulance, OOH's GP, Own GP, Urgent Care Centre and so on.
Urgent Care Centre
We would like to point out that an Urgent Care Centre exists at Loughborough Hospital manned by Nurse Practitioners. It costs the practice every time you attend the Urgent Care Centre. If we are open please contact us first. We hold your full medical records and there is a doctor on call every day, then that money can be put back into the practice to help us extend our services to you.
Please do not ask to see a doctor out of hours unless you genuinely cannot wait until the surgery re-opens.
Call 999 in an emergency. Chest pains and / or shortness of breath constitute an emergency.
111 online is a fast and convenient alternative to the 111 phone service and provides an option for people who want to access 111 digitally.
Your needs will be assessed and you will be given advice about whether you need:
Treat yourself at home
Go to a Primary Care Centre
If you need face to face medical attention you may be asked to attend a Primary Care Centre.
